ABOUT THE CURRENCY GALLERY

The Currency Gallery and Research Foundation is an "on line" museum started in 2002.

There are several advantages to having the gallery "on line". This format enables the curators to display far more types of U.S. currency that can be easily diplayed in any one building. It can bring together unique notes from private collections, the holdings of the Smithsonian Institute, the Federal Reserve Banks, the Bureau of the Public Debt and virtually anywhere else you can find collectable currency.

The purpose of the organization is to promote the collecting and researching of U.S. paper money and to form the type of museum that can eventually house an example of every facet of U.S. currency that can be viewed from a single place.

We are a nonprofit, educational group supported wholly by donations, membership dues and the proceeds for the sale of U.S. paper money related items.

Membership is open to anyone interested in U.S. paper money and related collectibles.
