Unlisted Interest Bearing Note
Capital Currency, Inc. - March, 2001

Fr 212d-i $50 1865 Interest Bearing Note Very Fine We are numbering this note Fr 212-d-i. It is the June 15th, 1865 issue from the act of March 3, 1865. This issue differs from Fr 212d because it has Blue Serial Numbers (212d has red) and does note have the "50" overprint in gold on the back. It is listed in Gengerke as a 212d. Hessler correctly separates these types but does not mention the fact that the 6/15/65 issues lacked the Back Overprint.

All issues of this Series Interest Bearing Notes dated June 15th, 1865 do not have the Gold Overprint on the Back. The Smithsonian has examples of the $100 (Fr 212e) and the $1000 (Fr 212g) with the 6/15/85 date and both do not have the back overprint.

All issues of this Series that bear the 7/15/85 date have the overprint.

This note is unique!!
