Natick Experimental Error

In 1981, another experimental issue of US currency was released to test the wear and durability of a possible new supplier of currency Paper. These so called "Natick Test Paper" notes were printed for $1.00 Series 1977A notes with Serial Numbers ranging from C07052001* through C07060000* and E76800001H through E80640000H. They were also printed on $10.00 Series 1977A notes with Serial Numbers ranging from E05772001* through E05780000*. Many of these notes found their way back to the Redemption centers and are very rare.

A discovery of an Overprint on Back Error on one of the $1.00 Natick Test Notes is the first of its kind. It is considered unique as an error on this experimental run.
