Andrew Jackson
Jackson was the 7th president of the United States. He was the first Democrat President.
Jackson also had a bit to do with the history of money in the US. Back in the
early days of the country, our paper money was issued by the "Bank of the United
States," a private corporation (although there was probably a big grey area between
where members of the government left off and the running of this bank started).
While Jackson was in office, the bank's charter came up for renewal, which Jackson refused
to support.
