Large Sized $100.00 Gold Certificates were issued for five series: 1863, 1870, 1875, 1882 and 1922.

Series 1863 is the first Series of $100.00 Gold Certificates. The Eagle vignette on the left represents "E. Pluribus Unum".

All Series 1863 $100.00 Gold Certificates bear the signatures of S.B. Colby and F.E. Spinner and are hand dated and countersigned by an Assistant Treasurer of the United States.
