The $100.00 Interest Bearing Notes was the issued under 5 different Congressional Acts: The Acts of March 1, 1861, July 17, 1861, March 3, 1863, July 30, 1864 and March 3, 1865.

There are nine distinct varieties (major differences with Series, Face Design, Seal Type and / or Back Design) within this denomination.

Interest Bearing Notes Issued under the Congressionl Act of March 2, 1861 were issued in two distinct types. The first was payable in 60 days and the other was payable in 2 years. Both issues had an interest rate of 6%.
