$10.00 Treasury Notes
Large Sized $10.00 Treasury Notes were issued for two series: 1890 and 1891. There are three distinct varieties (major differences with Face Design, Seal Type and / or Back Design) within this denomination.

Series 1890 is the first Series of $10.00 Coin Notes. The portrait in the center of the face is of Philip H. Sheridan,Commander and Chief of the Army in 1884.

The Series 1891 $10.00 Coin Note face design is similar to the design of Series 1890. The back represents a complete new design from the Series 1890 Series.
