First Issue Treasury Notes

The First issue of of the War of 1812 Treasury Notes was authorized by the Congressional act of June 30, 1812. $15,000,0000 was authorized and a total of 2000 $1000 notes and 15000 $100 notes were issued. This issue was for 1 year notes bearing interest of 5.4%.
