Third Issue Treasury Notes

The Third issue of of the War of 1812 Treasury Notes was authorized by the Congressional act of March 4, 1814. $10,000,0000 was authorized and a total of 6000 $1000 notes, 24,000 $100 notes and 8000 $20 notes were issued. This issue was for 1 year notes bearing interest of 5.4%.

Although there are 43,160 notes outstanding, only two signed remainders are known.
