Lloyd M. Bentsen

LLoyd Bentsen was a World War II bomber pilot, recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war, he served as a judge, then a congressman from Texas. He went on to be a senator, and the 1988 nominee for Vice President of the United States.

He didn't win the vice presidency, but he was President Clinton's first Secretary of the Treasury.
