Kathryn O'Hay Granahan

Mrs. Granahan served as Treasurer of the United States during the Kennedy and Johnson administrations. She also served as a Congresswoman, filling the seat left vacant when her husband, William Granahan died. She was re-elected to this seaat twice.

Prior to serving in Congress, Mrs. Granahan held many positions of influence in her home state of Pennsylvania, including serving as a member of the national board, Woman's Medical College of Pennsylvania.

While serving as Treasurer, she championed the two dollar note.
