David Franklin Houston
David Houston was a former Secretary of Agriculture and Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board. He had the unenviable position of delivering bad news to the U.S. public concerning the post-World War I economy. Although he tried to help U.S. agriculture by easing credit, he was accused of setting out to wreck the farmers.
Houston was appointed to his post of Secretary by Woodrow Wilson.
Secretary of the Treasury from 02/02/1920 through 03/03/1921
