Small Sized $100.00 Gold Certificates were issued for two Series: 1928 and 1934. There are two distinct varieties (major differences with Series, Face Design, Seal Type and / or Back Design) within this denomination.

The Series 1928 $100.00 Gold Certificates the first Design Type of this class of notes. The Portrait in the center of the face is Benjamin Franklin. The vignette in the center of the back is Independence Hall.
