John Quincy Adams

(July 7, 1767 - February 23, 1848)

John Quincy Adams was born in Braintree (now Quincy), Massachusetts. He started his carerr as a lawyer. He served as a Massachusetts State Senator (1802), a U.S. Senator from Massachuseets (1803-1808) and U.S. Secretary of State (1817-1825). He was elected the 6th President of the United States (1825-1829). After the Presdiency, he served as a U.S. Representative from Massachusetts ((1831-1848) until his death.

Trivia:

John Quincy Adams was the son of John Adams, the 2nd President of the U.S. He was also a nephew (by marriage) of Thomas Jefferson.
