The Capital Building

There are three distinct varieties of the Capital Building that appear on U.S. currency.


The first variety shows the Capital Building that appears on $2.00 United States Notes from Series 1869 through 1917.

Type 1

The second variety shows the Capital Building as it appears on small sized $50.00 Federal Reserve Notes from Series 1928 through 1993.

Type 2

The third variety shows the Capital Building that appears on small sized $50.00 Federal Reserve Notes from Series 1996 to Present.
