William Clark

(August 1, 1770 - September 1, 1838)

William Clark was part of the "Lewis & Clark" adventurer duo.

Clark was appointed Governor of the Missouri Territory until Missouri gained statehood in 1820. He ran for governor of Missouri, but was defeated.

William Clark gained the rank of Brigadier General and served as Superintendent of Indian Affairs.
