Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin

(January 17, 1706 - April 17, 1790)

Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a member of the Continental Congress from 1775 through 1776. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Mr. Franklin was also a printer and printed some early Continental Currency.

Mr. Franklin is probably best known for his inventions. He is attributed with the invention of the Library, the Post Office and the Fire Engine among many other things. He also discovered Electricity with the help of a Kite, a Key and a lightning storm.
