Robert Fulton

Robert Fulton

(November 14, 1765 - February 23, 1815)

Robert Fulton was born in Little Britian, Pennsylvania. He was an accomplished painter and some of his pictures were displayed in the Exhibition of the Royal Academy in England.

He turned his sights from artistry to engineering and is the inventor responsible for the steamboat and was also a pioneer in submarine warfare.
