Ulysses S. Grant

Ulysses S. Grant

(April 27, 1822 - July 23, 1885)

Ulysses Simpson Grant was born in Point Pleasant, Ohio. He was a Union General during the Civi War.

He was elected the 18th president of the United States in 1869 and served for two terms.

As a presidential candidate, Grant was wildly popular, and both parties were willing to run him on their ticket.
