Meriwether Lewis

(August 18, 1774 - October 11, 1809)

Meriwether Lewis part of the "Lewis & Clark" adventurer team who explored the Louisiana Purchase.

He later became governor of the Louisiana territory.

Although thought to be a suicide, Mr. Lewis's death was surrounded by mysterious circumstances.
