Robert Morris

Robert Morris

(January 20, 1734 - May 8, 1806)

Robert Morris was born in Liverpool, England. He came to America in 1747. He was a member of the Continental Congress, and was a signer of the Declaration of Independance. He also served on the Constitutional Convention, and in the US Senate. He ultimately got into land speculation. He ended up spending three of his final years in debtor's prison.
