Samuel F. B. Morse

(April 27, 1791 - April 2, 1872)

Samuel Finley Breese Morse was born in Charlestown, Massachusetts. He was educated at Yale College. He started his career as a painter and was one of the most respected artists of his time. He is credited with the invention of the Telegraph and the standard Morse Code.
