Lots of people and vignettes have been depicted on our currency, although the variety came to a halt with
the introduction of small-sized currency and the standardization of our currency beginning with the Series 1928. Prior
to this, there could be several different types of each denomination in circulation, each with
different portraits and vignettes.
So, what's on our money? Well, for Small Sized Currency, the answer is pretty simple:
Prior to 1928, the answer's a whole lot more complicated. Basically, lots of
people and vignettes appeared on lots of different type of money, and there wasn't any single person
or design assigned to any single denomination of note.
